The meat industry

I applaud the new Meat Industry group for trying to get a bit of reform and improvement in the industry but I was alarmed to read that they are seeking a mandate from farmers. Hasn’t that already been done by previous reform groups? Is anyone taking any notice of history, what has already happened or to put it more correctly ‘what has failed to happen with previous attempts.’
